About Constantini
Nayips Eduardo Cordero Constantini, (May 1982 – Exist), He is a Chilean surrealist artist known for his technical skill, imprinting realistic texture in the surrealist images in his work.
Born in Santiago, Chile, Constantini never received formal education in fine arts, however during his childhood was inspired by his grandmother Humilde Silva who was an oil painter on fabric, which she made for a living. In his Childhood he attended primary school during the dictatorship period in Chile, there he learned the basic concept of color, technics and texture.
Attracted naturally and organically to art, he started getting impressed by surrealist and cubism artist masters. However society pressure and his inability to find his own real path and desire to do art, he enrolled in The University for an Engineering career which he got graduated in the earliest 2000’s.
Since a child and after reading the novella The Little Prince of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry got inspire to travel around the world.
He Move to different cities in Chile, from there to China and then in Philadelphia, United States, in a constant travel around the world, he started collecting modern art, ancient art artifact, and historical pieces from different countries and cultures, in that precisely trigger him to start painting and creating emotions thought his work. , Influenced by the abstract surrealism of the Chilean Painter Roberto Matta, the surrealism and cubism of Salvador Dali, and the neo-expressionism of Jean-Michel Basquiat he starting creating panting that reflects those styles.
He believes that emotions are another component of the human being, as organs in our body, emotions are essential for living as well, and they are not separate from it, “if science can recreate enzymes in a vitro plate, artist we are able to recreate emotions in the canvas.
“Perfection is the finish of the infinite rode of a dream. But if you want to jump in that rode you must travel, you must meet people; understand emotions, feeling and thought. There, nothing is wrong, nothing is good or bad, nothing is benevolent or evil, it is just a dream, but if we are capable make people feel emotions thought the painting, that dream became real”
